[Resolved] Portal Block Weirdness.
Serendipity - 3-31-2010 at 12:32 AM

A while ago, one of my portal blocks randomly stopped working.

Quote:
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" width="100%" bgcolor="$THEME[bordercolor]">
<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" cellspacing="$THEME[borderwidth]" cellpadding="$THEME[tablespace]" width="100%">
<tr class="category">
<td><strong><font color="$THEME[cattext]">&raquo; September Donations</font></strong></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td bgcolor="$THEME[altbg2]" class="mediumtxt"><center><b>A huge thank-you to:</b><br>
<br />
</font></strong></div>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

That's its contents. Whenever I have it enabled, I get an error on the portal that reads:

Quote:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in /home/lemondro/public_html/forum/portal.php(599) : eval()'d code on line 1

In addition to this, when I try to create a new portal block, it doesn't appear to work. And yet, if I try again, it tells me that the template name already exists?

Could you please take a look at this for me?

Check it out again when you can.

It's still not saving any information when I try to update templates. It says it was successfully updated, but it's not. And when I try to create a new one with the name 'test' again, it tells me that there's already a template with that name.

Unfortunately this has been a long-time bug in the portal. And even then I'm not so sure it's a real bug as this behavior only happens occasionally. It doesn't happen on all sites. So it could be a combination of a bug of some sort in connection with something on certain servers. About the only thing I can suggest to see if it cures the problem is to reinstall the portal.

Ah, okay. I think you can close this thread, then. I'm thinking of updating versions anyway, so I won't bother trying to reinstall the portal. Thanks. <3

What version are you going to upgrade to?

Serendipity - 4-2-2010 at 01:29 AM

Probably 1.9.11, due to the overwhelming requests by members to have a shop hack again.

WormHole - 4-2-2010 at 01:30 AM

Okay. Hope you enjoy it. There is no support here for 1.9.11. Do they even have the shop done yet?
