What's the BEST upgrade to get? Based on what the most recent version of XMB forum is, which has more/better hacks, etc? I want to have you install a
higher version to my XMB forum/upgrade its current version but I don't know which one I need. Help?
Right now 1.9.8 Pre-Final is the latest release. Although I don't recommend it for live production sites. 1.9.8 Final is supposed to be released
around Dec. 15. But there probably won't be a whole lot of hacks for it for a while. I've currently updated 25 out of around 300 or so. 1.9.6 SP1 is
the old 1.9.6 Alpha. 1.9.6 Alpha was the first 1.9.6 release after 1.9.5 Final and is basically a beefed up 1.9.5 with several bug and security fixes.
All 1.9.5 hacks will work with this version. 1.9.5 SP1 is the official xmb release and has more bug and security fixes over 1.9.6 SP1. Most, if not
all, 1.9.5 hacks will work with this version but there may be some differences that might make the hacks a little harder to install if you don't know
what you're doing. So if you're going to use 1.9.5 SP1 I recommend requesting hacks to be installed to avoid frustration with some of the trouble
that will be encountered when installing hacks to 1.9.5 SP1.
