[Resolved] 1.9.5 - Altering the hack (custom field - city)

I just installed the CITY field hack succesfully...ok

Then I realised that the forum has a LOCATION field which is enough for me...

So...can I adjust the city field?

I would like two things...

1 - to be normal weight rather then bold under the avatar
2 - to be renamed to "Number"

and a bonus, could it be displayed with a # prefix always, since it will be a favourite number field.

I'm using the 195 board

The easiest thing to do would be to uninstall the City hack and change the location language variable in the English.lang.php file to say City instead of Location. Then you can always install the State and Country Flag Selection hacks to compliment the City field. So, for instance, if some is from London, are they from London, Ontario? London, England? Or London, Kentucky? So, for example, let's take London, Kentucky. You could then have the city name (London) in the City(old Location field) in the text field. Then the Kentucky State flag and USA flag.

As for the number thing. Well you could take the custom field template and fit it for the number variable by taking the $stuff variable and change all instances to $number. Then for the # sign to be displayed you'd just insert # into the value field for the input fields.
