As I told Jim in u2u the other day. 1.9.7 and even 1.9.6 is absolute garbage. It's crap. 1.9.6 alpha here is missing many fundamental fixes and
important things as well. This is why I am working on a secured and bug fixed 1.9.5 Service pack as we speak. within a week or 2 it will be available
here.

But as I've told people for over a year now 1.9.6 Alpha is better than 1.9.5 as it does contain
some bug and security fixes that you gave to me for 1.9.5 shortly after it was released.
I have seen a beta version of this new 1.9.5 that John speaks of and it will be righteous. And hopefully we won't have much to change as far as the
hacks go. I've been testing some out on a test board and so far there's only been a few instances where the hack instructions will need to be
changed.
BTW John, are they working on getting 1.9.7 up to par and out the door. Last I saw they were working on 1.9.7 RC4. Starting to look like XMBG may just
stay at 1.9.5 until something's decided on what's next. At this point I see no sense in fooling around with any branch of 1.9.7.
PLEASE DO NOT U2U ME FOR GENERAL SUPPORT ISSUES!!!

1.9.7 is dead in the water. There literally is no development taking place. The work vanderaj has done is ideal but broken as hell and all of my
validation routines and u2u system in ultimabb were backported for rc4 even.
They should have serviced the 1.9.5 build and went on to develop 2.0. This is all lack of proper project management on the end of those powers that be
at xmb. iEntry is basically doing squat as well. Vanderaj has milliseconds per day to develop so it's a huge ways off from ever even being stable or
released. I offered to come in and help him and he asked them to let me but after a month or 2 there is no response so I washed my hands of it all.
Hence why 1.9.5 Final SP1 is a reality.

I still ahve faith in iEntry and have nothing bad to say about jay and the gang there. I know what's wrong and why they are at a stand still. it's
tough choices that have to be made and I don't think they are prepared to make them yet in my opinion.
Simply put, 1.9.7 should be bug bashed and stabilized and supported while development of 2.0 is begun from the ground up.
