This can actually be applied to both, this and the warning hack, situations. Nick, I never meant you any harm or to cause bad feelings when I posted
that alert a couple of months back about the warning hack. I, and the popular opinion in that thread, agree that it wasn't wrong to do. People had to
be told about it. As I said, I know of 3 boards it took down all in the same way and all when installing the warning hack. I can understand getting a
little peeved because something you worked at was flawed and it was pointed out. Fortunately Jonathon diagnosed the problem and came up with the fix
for it. It should have been let go of right then with all parties satisfied. But it was very obvious that you were still upset about it all this time
because you stopped coming here.
So then someone that still remains unknown to me posted their comment at xmbworld and you immediately jumped to the assumption that it was me. First
of all, if you knew me at all you would know that I wouldn't use a different name. I would have registered as myself and would have dealt with the
situation straight up. You can ask John, he knows I don't sugar coat nothin' and I shoot straight from the hip. And I do agree with you that if you
believe in something you fight for it. I had no problem with xmbworld really. But after somethings that were brought out into the open my main concern
became the people that were going to give their account info to some of unscrupulous nature. Then when I heard that you and Jonathon were involved I
felt a great sense of disappointment and hoped you guys wouldn't get into any trouble. But then when I was shown the site and saw that it was a
blatant rip-off that got me going. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if it was a little bit more original in thought and content. Sure, you got
McDonald's and you have Burger King. Same idea, basically the same product but each is different in their own way. If things were done for the right
reasons, and I'm positive the reason Guldan stated was the impetus for that site, things could have been way different. We could have had a
reciprocal relationship where, for example, you didn't have something a user wanted so then you would refer them to us and vice-versa. Lord knows
there's enough xmb users to go around. We choose not to distribute hacks not because of the copyright issue, and we do respect that, but because we
all know that 99% of xmb users know where to get the hacks if they want to install them themselves. We try to cater to the newbie, the person who
doesn't want to mess with hacks, or the user that doesn't trust their ability to hack their board for fear of destroying it. These are the people
that don't need the hacks. But, yes, we could have had a working relationship I do believe.
Anyways, with all that said apology accepted. Let's move forward. You're welcome here, Nick, and if you want to contribute in any way you see fit
you are more than welcome to.
